Release Time: 2025-08-05 15:53:55

TAMATAVE, Madagascar – At 2200 LT on August 5, 2025, the WB JOURNEY vessel, operated by Yantai Huixin, successfully docked at the Port of Tamatave in Madagascar, the first discharge port on its East Africa route. This marked a key milestone in a nearly 27-day, ten-thousand-nautical-mile international shipping mission. More than a standard cargo operation, this voyage stands as a clear demonstration of Yantai Huixin's professional shipping expertise and highly efficient service, providing significant momentum for equipment supply and economic cooperation in East Africa.

The journey began earlier at 0500 LT on July 10, 2025. As dawn broke over Qingdao's Dongjiakou Port, the WB JOURNEY vessel, loaded with various equipment and vehicles, sounded its horn and set sail. The cargo, crucial for infrastructure development and industrial growth in East Africa, was handled with meticulous care from the initial stowage planning to final pre-departure safety checks. This professional preparatory work laid a solid foundation for the voyage, ensuring the safe transport of all equipment.

The WB JOURNEY faced numerous challenges en route. After a smooth start in the Yellow Sea, the vessel navigated the complex hydrographic conditions of the East China Sea and the busy shipping lanes of the Taiwan Strait, with the crew leveraging their extensive experience for precise control. Upon crossing the vast South China Sea, the vessel proceeded through the strategic international shipping chokepoints of the Singapore and Malacca Straits. Here, the team expertly charted the course and efficiently mitigated risks amidst dense marine traffic. Entering the monsoon-affected Indian Ocean, the vessel and its crew were tested by unpredictable winds and waves. Maintaining a 24-hour watch, they closely monitored weather and sea conditions, promptly adjusting their sailing strategy to ensure stable progress. The team also seamlessly managed a 5-hour time difference adjustment while crossing multiple time zones, ensuring the smooth continuity of all operations.

After nearly 27 days of continuous sailing, the WB JOURNEY's arrival in Tamatave was met with high praise from cargo owners as the first batch of equipment was safely unloaded, underscoring Yantai Huixin's robust capabilities in international shipping. Following the discharge operations in Tamatave, the WB JOURNEY will continue its journey to the next port of call, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, to further deliver "Chinese capability" in support of East Africa's development.

This voyage epitomizes Yantai Huixin's dedicated presence in the international shipping market. Moving forward, the company remains committed to leveraging its professional services and reliable fleet to open more global logistics channels, providing superior shipping solutions to clients worldwide and writing new chapters of excellence on the international shipping stage.
